Demi Moore and the infamous bump
Although it’s hard to believe now, back in 1991 Annie Liebovitz caused quite a stir with her bump portrait of Demi Moore that graced the front cover of Vanity Fair magazine. Nowadays such portraits have entered the collective consciousness and many “mums to be” want to record and celebrate their natural beauty in the final days of pregnancy.
Rest assured that with our bump photography session Dean will capture beautiful images that’ll happily grace the cover of any stylish magazine. Naturally you can also include your partner or any of your other children if you wish and how much of your bump you reveal is entirely up to you.
Hint, we find that booking 7 to 10 days prior to the due date gives the best results without the risk of an early arrival foiling your plans.
It’s all about the little ones…
After nine months you’re now the “proud owner” of a bundle (or bundles!) of joy. You naturally have an army of friends and family who want to see some pictures of your little one(s) so why not make sure that first impression isn’t based on a blurry camera phone photo?
In our comfortable studio we have a selection of props and aids that enable us to capture the very best newborn and baby photographs for you. We have nappy changing facilities and are happy to take frequent breaks so your little one can relax into being a top model. Remember that we also have plenty of free parking right outside our studio door so it’s nice and easy to pop in for your session.
Hint, if we’re photographing a newborn then it’s best to wait until the belly button clip has dropped off, once it has then the earlier we can arrange the shoot the better as we’ll be able to get those “wrinkly baby” and “scale” shots that are so rightly popular.
Your options
We offer a number of options for our bump and baby portraiture. You can opt for a single session be it for your bump, newborn or baby at £49, alternatively you can select from one of our fantastic value packages. Either way you’ll get amazing images that you’ll want to share with family and friends.
Prefer to stay at home?
We know that babies and children come with a lot of “accessories” and organising a trip to our studio could be an exercise in advanced logistics. Therefore we offer you the option of having us visit you at home for your newborn shoot (depending on location) for a small additional fee. Please contact us with your address and we’ll provide personalised quote.

What’s involved with a session
An initial telephone consultation so that we can talk through your requirements and come up with ideas for any props;
When you arrive at the studio we’ll have a chat over a cuppa to finalise our ideas for the photoshoot;
Approximately one hour photoshoot including a number of different setups, outfits and if necessary breaks;
We undertake post production on your images to make them shine;
One to two weeks later you return to the studio for your cinematic viewing experience of your perfected photographs;
You make your finishing touches selections from our wide range of art products;
Approximately two weeks after your viewing your finishing touches will be ready for collection and showing off to your friends and family.
Our multi session packages
Bump and baby ~ £79: a bump session with a newborn photoshoot to get the before and after shots that will remind you of those precious early days;
The first year ~ £99: captures the magical growth of your baby during their first year, a total of three sessions; at newborn, six months and a year;
The first Year plus ~ £129: the ultimate package which adds a bump shoot to the first year package.
